Cincinnati Equinox Pride 2011 a BIG Success

cincinnatipridelogo
This year's Equinox Pride weekend set new records for Pride in Cincinnati - and it's all because of your support!  A HUGE thank you is owed to everyone in our community who supported Pride this year as an attendee, a participant, a vendor, a performer , a sponsor and as a volunteer.

In our second year downtown, our attendance grew by an incredible 42% in just one year!  Over 37,000 festival goers in all!  The parade featured 22 more entries than last year and there were 17 additional vendors lining the streets.

Mark you calendar now for Greater Cincinnati Pride 2012!

Where Is The G-Spot?!

Looking for something to do? Then look no further than THE GSPOT. There is so much happening on the gay scene right here in Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky and this column will tell you where, when and why things are happening on the GSPOT!

Looking to sing a little ditty? Karaoke is bounding in the Cin-City. You can hit just about any local club to sing your favorite song. On Broadway and the Avenue blasts them on Monday Nights,Shooters shoots them on Wednesdays. Below Zero spins the cold tunes on Thursday Nights and Bar Monet over in Northern Kentucky fries 'em up on Sunday and Friday Nights. If your up in the northern part of the city Old Street Saloon hosts a karaoke nite every 3rd Friday of the month!

Singing not for you? Need a little drag in your life? Well then look no further! We have as much drag as you can possibly handle! Sunday Nights you can head down to The Cabaret to see Jessica Dimon host her open stage night at 10:30pm. Wednesday Night is the Dimons and Divas show at Yadda Club with your show diva Nikki Dimon. Friday Night the spot to hit is The Dock Complex with An All Star Show featuring Queen B and Crystal Starr is your show hostess at Adonis the Night Club every Saturday Night! Every second Saturday of the month check out Tyese Rains and her misfit at Bar Monet where trouble is bound to appear! Thursday is the Freak Show with Shafreaka Jane at The Cabaret and she is including an Open Stage Night! Get there early to get your spot ladies and gents!  Friday and Saturday Penny Tration is spinning out her band of stars at The Cabaret. She has a special guest every Friday and Saturday along with her regular cast including Monica St. James and her cocktail gurls. Every Friday night there is a show at Shooters and if your in Monroe hit up up Old Street any Friday or Saturday for a great show featuring Booshee Rayburn.New on the scene- is a new adventure for "COUPLES". Tyese Rains " From Skag to Drag" will be hitting the stage at Bar Monet in Covington. Its for couples (not necessarily the traditional sense of the word) only and there is a $200.00 cash prize.  So if watching a few hot "ladies" sing some songs for you then drag in the Cincy  is where you want to be! And remember all these ladies are on facebook! Check them out!

Every Sunday you can check out your favorite showtunes at Below Zero where DJ Paul gives them to you at Classic Showtune Sunday! And starting September 18 there is Gay Bingo every 3rdSunday of the month at The Cabaret. Each Gay Bingo is for a different charity so come on out and play!

Now what would the gay scene be like without a few fundraisers! The ISQCCBE is always out and about raising much needed money for our local community. All the money they raise goes to support 6 local agencies here in Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky. Check out their website at www.isqccbe.org. So until we meet again at The Gay Spot...
