CINCINNATI OPERA PRESENTS
5TH ANNUAL PRIDE NIGHT CELEBRATION
SATURDAY, JULY 16

Cincinnati Opera will honor Dabby Blatt with its first Friend of Diversity award.

CINCINNATI—Cincinnati Opera is pleased to present its 5th annual Pride Night Celebration on Saturday, July 16, following a performance of the opera Eugene Onegin by composer Piotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky. A story of inopportune timing and lost love, Eugene Onegin explores difficulties of the heart which mirror episodes in Tchaikovsky’s own turbulent life.

For the first time, Cincinnati Opera’s Pride Night Celebration will recognize an individual with the Friend of Diversity award. The Opera is pleased to announce that Dabby Blatt will be honored as the 2011 Friend of Diversity. Ms. Blatt is a longtime friend and supporter of the lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender community in Cincinnati.

The 2011 Pride Night Celebration, a Russian-themed after-party, recognizes Cincinnati’s lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender community, and attendance is open to all. This year’s Pride Night committee members include co-chairs Frank Caliguri, Karen Aronoff-Holtmeier, and Ryan Messer, as well as Nancy Banks-Sacewicz, Melissa Keeley, Robert Reichhardt, Joe Rigotti, Cathy Sarky, and Edward Wagner.

Pride Night is sponsored by Ethicon Endo-Surgery, Frost Brown Todd LLC, Ross Sinclaire & Associates, LLC, and Toyota.
