I am excited about the life-saving work our employees and volunteers will accomplish in 2011. This year we will serve more clients than ever throughout our eight-county area in Southwest Ohio.  That is quite a testament to the work of our lean and dedicated team. Since 2008, there has been a 10 percent increase in HIV positive clients seeking case management services but no increases in resources to meet these needs.

We also will continue to enhance our education to reach youth and other high-risk groups in our community.

If you’re still looking for a new year’s resolution, why not help us achieve our goals by making a donation via credit card through our secure online system or volunteering your time.

If time or money isn’t exactly on your side, there are other ways you can help while crossing another resolution off the list by getting organized and cleaning out your closets. STOP AIDS accepts donations of all sorts that are passed along to clients, used in our offices, used to support our outreach efforts, offered as auction items at our events, and more.

The most useful donated items include:

• Items to be used as auction items for events
• Food donations for events
• Gift cards & gas cards
• Feminine hygiene products
• Cat and dog food
• Office supplies(8 1/2 x 11 paper for printing, pads of paper, manila folders, bottled water, coffee, paper plates, plastic silverware, toilet paper, cans of juice/pop, paper towels, tissues/kleenex, plain white business size envelopes)
